Antonio Masi emigrated to New York from Italy in 1947, when he was 7 years old. He found the immense opportunities and grandiose structures inspirational and fueling a desire to create art. From a young age, he knew he wanted to be an artist who celebrated the beauty of New York.

He attended the High School of Industrial Art (SIA)  in 1955, specializing in illustration and graduated in 1958.  Masi then attended the School of Visual Art, with a full art scholarship. Masi graduated with honors in 1961. Working for various agencies and publications Masi began his professional artist career.  He married, started a family and began teaching at High School of Industrial Art, now called High School of Art and Design, and was named Art Chairperson in 1973. In 1975, Masi also earned a BA in the History of Art in 1975.

In 1979, Antonio helped start and became a full partner at Ads ’n Color, one of New York City’s most respected graphic arts companies.  In 2000 Masi sold Ad ’s n Color and was ready to commit to being a full time artist.  Masi was able to fulfill his boyhood dream of depicting New York City’s mesmerizing scenes.   Specializing in bridgescapes, he has painted more than 44 award winning pieces.
